About Us
Norris Moving and Installations was founded by Timothy Norris, a Raleigh area native, with the goal of becoming the local moving company known before providing the best service at a fair price, and showing families how smooth moving can be when it’s done right. Before starting NMI, Timothy worked in the household goods industry for 35 years, leading complex/high-profile moves across the country. Timothy loves a good fishing trip and his family, so ask him about his latest catch!

In 2025, Joe Elliott joined NMI to run the Commercial Installations division, NCI (Norris Commercial Installations). Joe has 6 years of experience in running Commercial A/V and Furniture Installation companies, all in the Triangle area. Joe wears many hats for NMI, including running project management, sales, and finance operations. Joe, his wife, and 2 kids live in Durham, where you can find him fishing with his son or on the basketball court.
